We are excited that award-winning author, Andrea Pinkney will be visiting the lower school via skype at the end of this month!   We have many wonderful  books by Ms Pinkney in the library.   Start thinking about what questions you would like to ask her when she comes.

You can read a short biography of Ms Pinkney here and watch a video in which she and her husband Brian Pinkney introduce their book Sit-in: How Four Friends Stood Up by Sitting Down .

Local Poet to visit!

Local poet, performer, and youth advocate Elijah Brown will be visiting this month to help us celebrate Poetry and Literacy Month!  Mr Brown will perform his poetry for grades 6-8  and run a poetry workshop with the 8th graders.

Thank you Parents!
